SUNYOCC Shapero Residence Hall
Shapero Hall is a residence hall at SUNY Onondaga Community College. We offer the traditional on-campus student living experience. Each resident will have a single bedroom and access to a floor bathroom and lounge space. We also offer surface parking... lot, on-site laundry facilities, fitness room, and package delivery.
Kitchens are not provided, but residents can sign up for an optional meal plan through OCC or though Syracuse University.
The length (term) of occupancy is the full academic year (both the fall and spring semester). The move-in date is on August 25, 2023 and the move-out date is at noon on May 13, 2024. Early and Late arrival are available at additional cost.
The housing fee for the 2022-2023 academic year is $4400 per semester. The housing fee is subject to change for the 2023-2024 academic year and will be finalized in May 2023. Housing fee includes all utilities, cable, and internet. The fee also includes staying in the residence hall over Thanksgiving, winter, and spring break.
The full housing fee (per semester) is due upfront. The Fall 2023 housing fee is due by August 7, 2023. The Spring 2024 the housing fee is due by January 8, 2024. The housing fee is non-refundable.
Residents must provide documentation to confirm enrollment in a degree program and registration of full-time status (minimum of 12 credit hours) at SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, SUNY Upstate Medical University, or Syracuse University.
Residents must satisfy all applicable health requirements. New York State Public Health Law requires all college students to demonstrate proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and meningitis (or to provide a signed meningitis waiver). Immunization for Hepatitis B is strongly recommended. Must provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination.
